We are continuing our series of podcasts dedicated to the exploration of the body, the somatic disciplines and the underlying principles. Today, we are exploring the fifth generalized principle, "Sequence & Syntax".

  • Sequence & Syntax
    • The very principles we talked about build up on each other in a particular sequence
    • Sequence in Dance, Martial Arts, Rituals, Relationships, Business and organizations
  • Exercises for Sequencing
    • Becoming aware of what works and patterns. NLP modeling.
    • A way to feel the sequence is to change it and see what happens

Comments

Passage of time, sequential events, inputs resulting in outputs are undeniable aspects of our human experience. Syntax creates meaning. Changing syntax changes the outcome or meaning.

Syntax, sequencing, linking events through time are a kind of intelligence with which humans are uniquely evolved to perceive and influence.

This is not to say that we always get it right… we don’t! But to the degree that we understand and apply syntax, we can program computers, program ourselves, program society in ways that generate less entropy.

Good, good stuff guys. Say more!

Cheers,

Craig
